Gateway Woods provides quality and affordable adoption services for both international and domestic adoptions. Our skilled and highly trained Adoption staff has over 35 years of combined experience. In collaboration with Gateway Woods Foster Care, we offer the Foster to Adopt option. Getting the adoption process started is simple. Our goal is to make your adoption experience a true blessing. Our services include:
Domestic
- Preparation for adoption that includes training regarding adoption & cultural issues
- Home studies
- Matching children with families (newborn - 18 years old, including children with special needs)
- Child placement
- Pre- and post-adoption support and supervision
- Court reports
International
- Preparation for adoption which includes information about choosing an adoption agency and training regarding adoption and cultural issues
- Home studies
- Post-placement support and supervision
- Court reports to birth country
Requirements for Adopting Through Gateway Woods
- Mature Christian couples or singles
- Personal commitment to Jesus Christ
- Active involvement in a church
- Stable and loving home environment
- Openness to growing, and learning about other countries and cultures
- Deep love and commitment to children.
Gateway Woods offers affordable rates for our quality adoption services.
Domestic
- Home study and adoption training $1,350 (Fees include 100 miles round trip)
- Post placement visit & report $150 + travel
- Final visit & court report $200 + travel
- Placement fee 12% of income (minimum charge of $6,000)
International
- Home study and adoption training $1,500 (Fees include 100 miles round trip)
- Post placement visit & report $200 + travel
- Home study updates $65/hr. + travel $650 maximum + travel
- Mileage is charged at the current IRS rate
- Criminal background checks $7.00/person
